The Left is Done
By “the Left” I mean straightforwardly the left-wing of the political spectrum - SJWs, “wokies”, media luvvies, antifa, academics, Champagne Socialists, etc. I believe we can now declare that the British Left, as a broad swathe of political strands, is “done”. They will still exist and even be (decreasingly) forthright, but, at least within our lifetimes, they are doomed to ever-increasing isolation and are never going to get what they want.
Of course, whether we in the Dissident Right will get what we want is unsure, but that is a different matter and (I believe) actually very possible. By contrast, there is no future in which the Left get what they want. If Islam takes over Britain, they will be crushed. If nationalism takes over, likewise. If Britain keeps degenerating into the Yookay, likewise.
The status quo today, “the regime”, is pushing leftist values less fervently than a few years ago and might have to abandon them as reality demands cold pragmatism - and reality is only going to get more pressing in the coming years. The regime still upholds leftist values, but with an autistic heavy-handedness that is increasingly at odds with ordinary people’s feelings and priorities.
It is even at odds with the real feelings of many leftists. In July 2025, antifa showed up in Epping to oppose a protest sparked by a migrant sexually assaulting a child. The antifa were outnumbered by “the fascists” and had to cancel their “action”. Commiserating on social media afterwards, a senior figure said they need to be more selective about which actions to undertake. Indeed, it is probably foolhardy to be seen protecting child-molesting migrants. But it is ideologically consistent for them. Cornered into such absurdity, perhaps antifa will finally realise how insane their ideology is.
The recent news that the Labour Party is splintering with Jeremy Corbyn launching a new “hard-left” party should also encourage us. Such a party will divide the Left, depriving the managerialist Labour of its ideological and “loony” activists and funnelling them into an unelectable silo, even more out of touch with ordinary people’s feelings and priorities than the Starmer government. If this new party ever somehow gained power, it would swiftly fail, amounting to a five-year blip which would not change the course of history at all. If anything it would be an accelerant. As a pressure group within Parliament it will have the same effect.
For now, wokery lingers on in a zombified form. Britain’s history being erased, trans rights being celebrated, dramas race-swapping historical figures… We still see these things every day, so it is not correct to say that “woke has been put away”. It feels more like there just isn’t energy or passion for it any more. The things remain but nobody can defend them. An early example of this was Nicola Sturgeon being obviously unable to justify placing transgender men in women’s prisons, yet defending it anyway on principle. But it is a principle that nobody understands or cares about. The moral push for wokery remains, but the “intellectual” apparatus to defend it has lost credibility. We’re at the stage where everyone has realised the emperor has no clothes on, and many are even saying it - but not yet people in power.
Let’s return to the peak of modern “woke” leftism and work our way from there to the present. The peak was 2020-21. At that time, leftist messaging was literally inescapable in daily life, and the ideas impossible for ordinary people to oppose. These statements are still largely true today in 2025, but something fundamental has changed. In 2020, “go woke go broke” was just a comfort blanket for disgruntled right-wingers. There was no organised opposition. No billionaires were voicing disagreement. Leftists had every reason to believe that their crusade would triumph completely: two generations hence, nobody would care about male and female, and racial categories would be just a bad memory from “the before-time”. Either everyone would be coffee-coloured and androgynous, or nobody would care whether they were, and it would no longer even be possible to know whether someone was androgynous and mixed-race or not since the concepts and categories would have been forgotten.
This optimism was achieved despite the 2012-14 revelations about Muslim rape gangs. That was a scandal confined to Britain and (at the time) quite easily minimised by an omnipotent progressive regime. But, under the surface, British progressivism was seriously weakened by it. They had no honest answers to it, no explanation, and it refuted their worldview. Nevertheless, given their resources, they were able to sideline it and continue going from strength to strength. This was possible because, post-Occupy, progressivism was not a sincere or honourable worldview at all, but a status quo, a fashion statement and an institutional dogma. It couldn’t be felled by reality because it had nothing to do with reality. To break its hold, something much bigger and more devastating had to come along.
The peak of wokery began its unravelling. I refer to the covid crusade and the accompanying utopian project of the Great Reset, a component of which was BLM exalted amid the Summer of Floyd. Covid was a managerial wet dream, and theoretically non-partisan, but it expressed as left-wing - the egalitarian mood, the saccharin (yet soul-shrivelling) utopianism, the people-of-flat-design imagery, the globalism, the erasure of borders to combat a threat that ignored them... With all this, the covid era felt like a time of hardship in a Communist society. This was because the implementation was modelled on those regarding climate change and mass immigration, so it leant on similar sentiments and used similar aesthetics. Certainly, it galvanised leftists far more than it did rightists, who largely “received” it as a left-wing crusade and thus rejected (and resented) it. This is why there was correspondence with established binaries: anti-vaxxers being reactionary conspiracy-minded bigots, pro-vaxxers being self-righteous do-gooding open-borders progressives. (It is also why, in the British implementation, “clapping for our NHS” could so easily be made a part of it.)
But what this means, years later, is that the covid project - something most leftists proudly associated with at the time - now becomes embarrassing for them. With the hullaballoo long over, not only does the whole thing seem very heavy-handed, but we hear about the staggering profits made by Big Pharma and it seems to have been a massive cash-grab for corporations. What’s more, the technocratic utopia promised by “the experts” seems to have fallen by the wayside, false promises made by duplicitous liars. These things are clearer after the “exciting” talk of “building back better” has died down, leaving only memories of Granny dying alone, or that family business going down the tubes, or that relationship breaking up, or that friend succumbing to alcoholism, or those kids missing out on key experiences due to lockdown. With the promises of “fully-automated luxury Communism” unfulfilled, a lot of leftists must feel like they were completely played. Because they were.
But nevertheless, after covid they still had some energy left for one more crusade, and that was Ukraine. Yes, I know that some right-wingers also chanted “Slava Ukraini”, but it was largely a left-wing crusade. But I think it was the last left-wing crusade. I think covid had drained everyone, and after six months the enthusiasm for Ukraine, and the bizarre idol worship of the odious, rat-like Zelensky, started ebbing away rapidly.
In theory, the Biden presidency should have been the honeymoon period for a newly triumphant 21st Century Left. Instead it was an impotent freakshow, with a clearly senile old man being wheeled out to stammer before an autocue, lackeys having mini strokes on camera, press secretaries who were by turns a blithely corrupt dragon and a blatantly incompetent diversity hire, and a female Black deputy president who seemed corrupt, insincere, incompetent, and a drunkard. Brought about by electoral fraud, it was a demoralised administration that demoralised its supporters. They managed to keep up the pretence until, in June 2024, Biden had to go up against Trump in a televised debate and floundered dismally. At that point, all optimism and energy left the Left.
In Britain a month later, Labour won the general election (only due to voter apathy) but the government is a disaster, exacerbating pre-existing tensions and failing to provide any sense of direction for the country. The August 2024 riots and their fall-out seemed to inaugurate an age of anger and disarray. Four months later, Elon Musk tweeted about the Muslim rape gang scandal and it finally did the institutional damage it was always destined to wreak.
Nobody seems to believe in anything now, or to know what they should believe in.
The steadily emerging truth of Muslim rape gangs puts paid, by itself, to a lot of leftist dreams. Trans was always a troubling thing that nobody, even the Left while they were espousing it, wanted to actually contemplate, with male “chestfeeding” being an irredeemably gross concept they had to pretend to find benign, along with the Lovecraftian horrors of “drag kids” and “drag queen story hour”. Gay rights has been done to death and hasn’t improved society, only leaving marriage a meaningless institution. As for mass immigration, it has undeniably worsened life - and the precious economy - and hasn’t even worked out for leftists themselves. They tried everything to make it work. They tried equality - no dice. They tried affirmative action - no dice. They tried praising them - no dice. They tried self-flagellation, calling themselves “colonisers”, “privileged” and “fragile” - no dice. No matter what White leftists do or how much they degrade themselves, their coloured pets refuse to reward them with gratitude or love. For a time that too was folded into the conditioning - vilifying expecting to be rewarded “just for doing the right thing” - but that went against human nature. It all became unsustainable, too exhausting, too much to ask of mere mortals, especially when they increasingly can’t even buy their own house. With that and dismal career prospects and little chance of having a family, they don’t feel privileged. As the mirages fall away, they realise they aren’t privileged. So the whole thing was a lie. They were duped into collaborating in their own dispossession, for ungrateful incompetent foreigners who hate them and always will.
As for the WEF technocratic future promised in 2020, that seems to have been forgotten about, so clearly the technocrats who pushed it did so not because they care but because they don’t. So if it ever does emerge, it will be only in material terms (not ideological) and it will only be for expedient reasons (not moral ones). It will be a joyless authoritarian dystopia. There will certainly be no equality; there will be elites having banquets at Davos and then the rest of us, owning nothing and being miserable.
Many leftists will even have the gumption to realise that they have been “pumped and dumped” by the elites (who in indulging them have neutered them). This is revealed most forcefully by Israel’s recent tribulations. Leftists cannot in good conscience support its butchery in Gaza or its aggression against Iran. This brings them into direct conflict with the power structure that was financing and enabling their activism. A good example is Greta Thunberg. She was the darling of the powerful while she criticised “the powerful”, “the rich” and “the West”, but as soon as she criticised Zionism, she became persona non grata. The same happened in America with several Ivy League professors losing their sinecures for similar faux pas. And now in Britain the same has happened with Palestine Action and Bob Vylan - an obscure band but their defenestration is extremely high-profile, revealing to millions of leftists that you can attack White people for being powerful and corrupt, but when you attack Zionists, you suddenly learn that they actually are powerful and corrupt. You will either support them maiming small children or you will find yourself deplatformed, penniless and derided throughout the mainstream media. You will either support ethnic cleansing or you will be vilified. And the leftists at Glastonbury will remember that, in the same performance, Bob Vylan mocked Whites being dispossessed yet the powerful don’t care about that. For many, this will be a moment of life-changing revelation. Generations of leftists have been “speaking truth to power” and getting rewarded for it, so this is completely unprecedented for them. Moreover, it is international; in Sweden, Britain, America, there is one group you will be ruined for criticising. Moreover, it is the group that is behind all of their pet projects, the group they thought was their greatest ally.
As all of this dawns on leftists, and much of it has probably been dawning on them for several years now, I think many will come over to our side - not because they necessarily realise their beliefs are lies, but because they realise their beliefs are doomed. They can sense that their ideas will simply not be “part of the furniture” in 2040. The future is not theirs. They have not been “on the right side of history”.
It will also be increasingly apparent to them that their beliefs have not taken hold with the general public, whose acceptance of them was always reluctant, and furthermore that the rising tide of colour in Britain means a rising tide of Third World savagery which will tear their values apart. (From Lefty Louie’s point-of-view, Racist Ray a few doors down might not have a degree, but at least you can have a laugh with him and he isn’t going to rape your sister with his cousins.)
Also, leftists will see a Right fast gaining confidence and dynamism - and this time it isn’t the “fascist tyranny” of Trump or Farage (with which fantasies they teased themselves in the 2010s) but something actually real, something organic and necessary, with the vitality they thought was authentic on their rainbow marches but which was, always, a trick.
Their challenge now is to switch over and to be forgiven for doing so - by us, by their lefty friends, and by themselves.

Everyone and everything is suddenly hitting the ground with a hard jarring thud now. It's getting harder to maintain comfortable illusions due to this dog eat dog world of late stage liberal decay. We must prepare ourselves and organise for a post liberal society
Nonetheless the judiciary, academia, the civil service and the entire management class remains addicted to leftism as the foundation of their social status and self-esteem. No amount of black pilling reality can change this. The entire edifice must be systematically disestablished.
