Also, this time the audience itself is diverse. They don’t need to propagandise, they just need to pander. The assumption that we white people are the nation is wrong in America and soon it will be in Europe. Nolan’s Odyssey is a movie that reflects their audience (notice how young characters are diverse and mature actors are white). I think this time woke is right, they’re indeed making a movie for modern America, that is modern America... sad but true.

There is nothing outstandingly woke or subversive about this particular film, just as there is nothing outstandingly woke or subversive about any media product (which I think is a point made in this article). Once you have seen that all media follows the same script, which is just bog-standard liberalism, however, it is impossible to unsee. This is why, in my twilight years, not only do I pass on films like The Odyssey, I pass on all "entertainment" media. I know the script; I know what I am going to get beforehand; it is all the same crap, so I give it a pass. This does not solve the problem, but it at least lets me maintain a clear head most of the time.
