Jacob Rees-Mogg: The Epitome of the Conservative

Beloved/loathed English “toff” politician Jacob Rees-Mogg comes across as a relic of a bygone age. Those of us who believe in standards and civilisation enjoy this. I like his charm, his verbal fluidity and his beautiful RP diction as much as the next lower-middle-class snob. However, we have to admit that all of this is merely ornamental if unaccompanied - as it always is in today’s conservatives - by an understanding of how Britain actually is today, as well as the resolve to gain such understanding even if it means relinquishing sacrosanct beliefs imposed on us by the Left and, indeed, by our recent ancestors.

On the 21st of September, Rees-Mogg put out a video announcing that there may be a war coming and if so, some us will have to die to defend Ukraine and Britain. He drew an equivalency with the First and Second World Wars, unfortunate because both of those wars, just like a hypothetical war against Russia, were pointless and unnecessary and led to massive wasted potential and a long-term degradation of the British gene pool.

He also said that if we are not prepared to fight such wars, our country will be taken over by another country “one way or another”. In saying this he overlooked the fact that Britain is already being taken over by other countries, both from within (mass immigration of Third World people) and from without (American hegemony and EU/UN/globalist dictats).

He then drew a comparison with the fate of ancient Rome, whose security was entrusted to foreign mercenaries who eventually decided to take over the Empire. Again, he failed to link this with the afore-mentioned internal threat of Third World immigrants - because he himself defends mass immigration and argues that there are no “native” Brits.

Furthermore, he called for a return of “the stiff upper lip” once associated with the British wherever they faced adversity or hardship. But you can’t expect the same behaviour of the British when, after the mass immigration he defends, they are no longer the same people.

He also spoke fondly of a society in which there is a shared (but not collective!) sense of purpose and cohesion - but failed to acknowledge that mass immigration pulverises these things, and already has done in Britain.

Finally, he advocated a revived sense of “duty” to country. Unfortunately, people exactly like Rees-Mogg have spent the last eighty years smugly telling the British that they don’t actually have a country, because anyone can become British and, by God, people like Rees-Mogg will make sure that vast numbers of Third Worlders do “become British”, and will calmly imprison and punish any insolent natives who complain about it.

This was demonstrated the very next day when he put out a video declaring that “the English are a mongrel people, not an Aryan master race”.

Notice that he holds an (ostensibly) right-wing position (patriotism and duty) while effortlessly integrating hard-left positions (race isn’t real, England is a nation of immigrants, anyone can become English, we’re all mixed). Rees-Mogg can do this effortlessly because he simply does not think. When it comes to issues of people, culture, race, etc. he lets the Left do his thinking for him and accepts whatever - whatever - they come up with.

Most ironic, then, that Rees-Mogg then put out a video claiming that “the Left is void of good ideas, whilst the Right is full of them”. The blindness to his own predicament, his intellectual paucity, is staggering, especially when he evinces a calm certainty that he is more cognisant than the Left, and that he is in control.

It is time to assert aggressively that conservatism is not just useless but actively detrimental. It was vaguely acceptable - if staid - in the early 20th Century. In the early 21st it is suicidal. The conservative is the retard on a sinking ship who continually tries to persuade the struggling crew that drowning is actually good for you, because he was once told so by his enemy.

Let us return to Rees-Mogg’s actual worldview, combining the first two videos: we are a mongrel people, we don’t really exist, but we have to defend this country even though it’s not ours, and also defend another country that definitely isn’t ours even while celebrating that both countries are flooded with non-natives.

This is what conservatism has become, and it is incoherent, unworkable and doomed - fatally self-contradicting. It’s like a chromosomal error at conception: the resulting creature can only be an abomination and won’t survive long, at least not without massive external help. Conservatism has the massive external help of dull people (there are many of them) and big funding. Without that, it would be laughed out of the room by any thinking people.

And that is exactly what does happen when conservatism enters a debate chamber today. It becomes clear that conservatives understand almost nothing. They understand neither their opponents on the Left nor their “rivals” further along the Right, and certainly not their replacements from the Third World.

The conservative’s famous boast is that he understands economics - “unlike those crazy socialists”. I’m not even convinced he understands economics. After all, it was a conservative government that implemented the covid lockdown which decimated the British economy for no good reason. It was a conservative government that brought us the Boriswave which will wreak untold damage on our economy. It was a conservative government that destroyed home-grown industries in pursuit of short-term profit.

It’s almost like economics is a toy that the Left have given to conservatives. “Okay, you’re going to lose everything else, but don’t worry, you can bore everyone to death talking about economics, you laughable rube.”

The insight into conservative impotence is actually worse for us nationalists than it is for the Left. The Left are under the impression, the fervent belief, that conservatives are committed to various things - sexism, racism, tradition, nation, Christianity, stringent standards, etc... But we nationalists, observing conservatives from the Right, know they are not committed to a damned thing. They have no principles, no enchantment, no balls, no curiosity, no imagination. All they have is a ruthless instinct for self-preservation, even at the expense of their country.

Is it any wonder the West has declined when the people tasked with protecting it were conservatives?

I despise them and consider them nothing but a tedious roadblock to progress.

And by “progress” I don’t mean tearing down Chesterton’s fence, but even admitting that there ever was a fence there in the first place.
