Woes, when people get up and expound how things are harder than ever, they are more in danger than before they are performing? Or do they sincerely feel and believe it?
Sorry, I’m not very articulate! When people publicly say things like “I think times are darker beyond all measure, and beyond anything I’ve ever seen in my lifetime,” do you think they genuinely believe that, or are they being performative?
That's an interesting question. It depends what you mean by "believe" - has he REALLY sat down and calmly contemplated the matter and reached a conclusion which he rationally "believes"? Alternatively, are his instincts and insecurities driving him to "believe" something he hasn't analysed at all? It's clearly the latter, and in that sense, yes, I think he absolutely "believes" his Armageddon predictions.
Davies comments at Comic-con and the Hardcore Progressives who cheer the subversion of the franchise... It is that Cheered Subversion that puts the nails on the chalkboard for me. I doubt if their subversion is really out of desire for legitimate change. I suspect it is a way to ruin your fun.
I don't see much Lefty media making anything of value or of importance, nothing with substance, Do You? Are they not capable of creating anything good? These are side question I ask as I suspect that there should be Good, well written, important stuff coming out of that camp but there doesn't seem to be... What I think is that they are mid wits posing as talent and they know they will soon be found out, but in the meantime What I do see is they they are ruining your fun, your cultural icons, to make your free time full of the things you don't want to see or have to deal with. Is this not right out of the Gramsci's playbook?
I see these young guys being told, from childhood to sit down and shut up and you go to the back of the bus cus it's not your turn anymore and since it has been beat into them by "progressive" teachers and media and, God help us, their own mothers they accept it without much thought. The knot in the gut is the clue young men. Do you hear me? These are the same people who pull down statues and make it okay for men to compete in women's sports. It's not a game and you need to pay close attention.
Our stories are important, they inform us as to who we have been and are, that's why they are under attack. Arthur, Percival, Guinevere, Morgana. I don't need to explain who these characters are because they are part of our culture.
I hesitate to go all metaphysical on you but I'm gonna do it anyhow. We need to find The Grail men... and women too if you are out there and understand... are you? ...Do you?
Okay smart ass how, how do you turn it around.
We have to speak the truth. Be smart about it too. Don't wade into a situation that will get you killed, but you can help your friend figure out why has the knot in his gut. You can calmly say I'm not supporting that TV show, movie, Game system... that subverts my culture, and you shouldn't do it either.
In the movie Excalibur Arthur ask the question "What is the greatest quality of knighthood... what do you say Merlin? . Merlin's reply? " It must be truth, truth above all. When a man lies he murders a part of the world."
The irony is that, if homosexuals ever face the kind of violence Davies fantasizes about, it will be as a direct result of people like him insisting on pushing their perversions into normal people's lives. By the late 90s, they had gotten the acceptance from mainstream society that they said was their goal. You were already more likely to lose your job for using "gay" as a pejorative than for being gay. Normal people had agreed to live and let live.
But that wasn't enough; they had to keep pushing right up to the point of insisting that parents allow mentally ill men into their daughters' restrooms and smile about it. And now that people are pushing back on just that most extreme intrusion, Davies wants to keep fighting them instead of backing off and settling for a truce that still includes everything else they gained up to about 2020. He's like the small bully on a playground who keeps picking on the big, quiet kid because he knows the big kid will look bad if he "punches down" at someone smaller, and then he feels persecuted when he finally gets stomped.
True, but I think the more fundamental problem is that there is no logical middle ground or equilibrium that can be achieved because gays are against nature. They have to keep fighting or they will be crushed by reality.
After the Restoration, there should be a Dr Who series with a new Doctor, new but in the old mould, maybe Richard E Grant, the story can be about how a race of evil scientists imprisoned the Doctor then replicated him but in hideous forms as mockery and subversion, sending the fake Doctors out to spread madness and suffering, especially for children.
"Davies no longer primarily saw Doctor Who as a thing in its own right that existed outside of him, but as his personal plaything and his vehicle for pushing his political views - onto children. He had turned from a dramatist into a demented propagandist. The results were celebrated by Comic-Con, but rejected by a nation."
This paragraph of yours sums up Davies's departure from sanity, and his misunderstanding of what his actual role in directing Doctor Who was meant to be.
The classic Doctor Who series was never about sexual identity, straight or gay. Then along came Russell T Davies in the last two seasons, and the whole show revolved around being gay. Davies is entitled to have a gay obsession in his private life, but had no right to impose it on Doctor Who, the science fiction program he was entrusted to make.
The third doctor, Jon Pertwee, had a love for fast cars. In an episode from his last story, Planet of the Spiders, he was allowed to indulge this obsession. The whole episode was a car chase. But imagine if all his 24 stories were full of car chases. It would soon wear thin.
The fifth doctor, Peter Davison, liked cricket. In the story, Black Orchid, there was a short scene featuring an actual cricket match. But imagine if every episode from his three year run had cricket gimmicks and cricket-themed plots. That would be insane, as it would have nothing to do with Doctor Who.
Russell T Davies' sexuality and interest in gay rights was just as irrelevant to Doctor Who as car chases or cricket. But it seems he didn't realise that.
In a straight drag race- 1/4 mile- does a naturally aspirated strait fuel injected carburetor- beat a supercharged charged gay injector- taking advantage of the heat lost from the afterburners? Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Strait Drag Race.
It's good to see that despite your lament on the monthly AMA, occasionally those who get woke DO go broke. I loved the new Christmas Wallace and Gromit. I'd rather watch the test card than the new DW.
I could not resist asking about 'RTD2' and it got me into a lot of hot water with AI. So he's 'artoo' from now on. But in the course of doing my h8t research I developed a certain respect for the man. He has suffered for his artistic positioning as one of 'the' (if not three of the) 'foremost Gay-Welsh' scriptwriters and its a tough act to follow. Of course what has to rise has to fall. That is the Big Fat Gay-Greek tragedy of life.
Davies is confusing resentment against the homo-pedo-pride-lobby for their 50+ years of spewing hatred towards normal families and normal people, and resentment against himself. The latter I'd wager is a lot stronger, magnitudes perhaps, than the former.
(He is a good indicator, a kind of avatar, of why art is dead in the West.)
Further, the reason everything that people like him touches turn to shit is that they aren't creative nor creators; to be an artist of any kind, be it sculptor or painter or writer or whatever, you must have humility as a balancing-weight to your ego. Said ego is where your drive to succeed and to excel and master your chosen field comes from - but humility is what forces you to learn the craft, to put in the hours of gruelling work and failure, and to chance it on there being an audience for what you are making or telling or showing.
(And even when just copying or repeating what used to be succesful, there's a skill to it - beans on toast can be a solid meal, or just disgusting depending on the effort and skill put into making it.)
That's why great art is no longer being made in the West, only endless regurgitation and copying of older classical art: the humility is gone, and what removed it was to a large extent public (and more recent corporate) funding. Imagine RTD trying to sell his version of Dr Who to a private investor. Or immagine him trying to crowd-fund it, or fund it himself.
The viewership would not be higher. Instead it would be close to zero because virtually no-one normal and most abnormal too are completely disinterested in the kind of crap people like him produces. And it has always been that way, too.
And as public funding becomes involved, so does the political ideals the party or parties controlling the funds want to see normalised and idealised. Once that cycle has run for long enough (which ought to have happened in the 1970s or 1980s) the process of politicisation appears to younger generations as the normal state of being, as well as the motion towards ever-more extreme forms of said politicisation: witness USAmerican so-called entertaintment, and how it is akin to a Fentanyl-zombie ambling about looking for a quick fix.
That's about it, really, and it is the same all over the West. How to solve the problem of a semi-dictatorial polity believing in its own propaganda, thinking itself dutifully benevolent - now that would a good theme for a Dr Who-series, perhaps.
Woes, when people get up and expound how things are harder than ever, they are more in danger than before they are performing? Or do they sincerely feel and believe it?
I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question. Can you elaborate?

Ah, this is why I advertised the series before publishing this new chapter! It explains the meaning of "RTD2". https://www.woes.blog/p/gay-doom

The arithmetic is simple. The middle of the curve does not enjoy being browbeaten by the bell-ends.
I see what you did there. 🙂
