MW's articles are so intelligently 'bang-on' that our rulers are bound to take their cues as regards what they should do - from him! 😊

I don't like saying this, but it might be too late for Britain.

You have to do all of the following:

-rethink the modern heroic myth of Britain (the WW2 victory against Nazi Germany)

-stop immigration while somehow getting family formation up and allowing the free market to determine housing prices (the elder asset owning class will have to lose)

-free yourself from the London financial parasitic class (we all know who)

-lessen your dependence on the United States (a multiracial empire) and move towards Europe, while of course remaining free politically from Europe

-somehow get manufacturing and making things important again despite being ruthlessly outcompeted by Korea, China, etc.

-develop an energy infrastructure that gives you some resilence from dependence on energy imports

While some of these things can be done, I'm not sure all of them can be. Things look bleak for Britain. I would strongly consider emigration at this point. And, of course, your people have done that at large scale before, that's where U.S./Canada/Australia originate from.

Let's just cut all the BS and take our countries back and instill some morals back into our children!

Where is Paul McCartney standing in all this? I heard he owns quite a lot of agricultural land. People need to eat.

I'm a South African, my sister married a Londoner in 2006, they have two children. Whenever I visited them in the past, I was mocked and maligned for suggesting that London is going to the dogs, things are going downhill fast, and they better be careful because time will come when her young, now teenage, daughter and son won't be able to go about town and enjoy the relatively good times we did in that city. Well, they're not laughing anymore, and as it turns out, they're beginning to admit that maybe old uncle Rudy wasn't so crazy all along, that maybe they would've done well to listen to what I was saying. The last time I visited was 2023, and already then, the young lad, my nephew, had begun to change his views, diametrically opposing his father's luxury beliefs. They give me hope, the young ones, but, for every young English man taking on the reality of their situation, there are three or four more becoming little card-carrying commies, which is also worrying. They want extremism, many of them, being young, fall into Marxism as an outlet for the anger thy feel against society.

"We pretty much live in a police state already."

It is almost liberating to arrive at this conclusion. You first have to acknowledge you have a problem, whichever cliche works, before a solution can be considered. It still is a bitter pill to swallow (the cliche thing, again). Grasping this may be difficult for those younger with no experience of anything other than life in a police state, but unless all contact with the outside world is ended, they too will arrive at that conclusion. Once a majority or near-majority no longer can be persuaded or tricked, it is likely the state will employ naked, brute force. The groundwork is being laid for that day even now, and the black pill is that a flashpoint has become inevitable, no matter how much we wish otherwise. My guess is the Regime is rightly worried about what follows the next major economic downturn. I certainly am.

Great article. I do think that we have no idea which direction things are going to go in the UK, but at this point there's no direction it_CAN_go that's "safe" so to speak. The government is hell bent on the path its chosen, the bureaucrats are too old and too entrenched to change. The people are too angry to accept bandaid solutions to very real problem.

How the UK breaks will provide a model for every other country on earth for what to expect. The United States is moving early but the anglosphere will look very different when our children come of age. Some parts of it might not even by on fire by then.

Hi Woes, your writing and voice are sharpening - you are doing excellent work!

I came across the term ‘Psychic Earthquake’ and I really think it’ll be something like this happens here:

'A man named Marco from Estonia recounts a chilling series of events that took place in the small coastal town of Kärdla on the island of Hiiumaa in 1989.

During one week, the town experienced a series of bizarre and violent incidents: a teenage girl blew up a cafe, a drunk driver deliberately killed four schoolchildren, and two young siblings murdered their parents.

These tragedies led the townspeople to believe they were cursed—perhaps by restless spirits, a long-standing feud between fishermen and shipwreck salvagers ("wreckers"), or the legendary witches of Hiiumaa.

Gripped by fear and superstition, the town descended into mass hysteria, only calming after the violence ceased as mysteriously as it began. '

(It’s Story 5 on the Let’s Read channel with video ‘8 True Creepy Stories to Help You Sleep with One Eye Open’)

PS. Your piece reminded me of the symbolic black and white blood covered horses running madly in London a year or two ago. . . a foreshadowing, I think.

Judging by the fact the government is clearing out thousands of prison places it seems they plan on going for glory.

A Race war is incoming. The black and brown hordes invasion will be the Final invasion to miscegenate White Britons out of existance in only one generation.

I think the migrants were spread out to slow down or even stymie a civil war.

As most migrants are concentrated in cities in order to access public services, it would be easy to defeat them: blow up power transformers and cut off electricity. That would also cut off the water supply. Waterborne illnesses, not starvation, would quickly kill city dwellers. Medical services would collapse. Food supplies would be cut off. On-time-delievery means little to no food storage in the cities.

Migrants in countryside would be a dangerous and disruptive 5th column.

The UK is on the brink of economic collapse. The tax base has evaporated and fled overseas. Without that tax base, welfare, the NHS, and the secuirty services will shutdown. The urban panic will be unimaginable, especially when you are dealing with millions of short-sighted and ignorant migrants who are dependent on welfare and prone to extreme violence.

I read in the Daily Telegraph yesterday that the British government is set to follow the American one and tax British expats. So much for running away to Spain or Dubai...

The countryside produces the food; the cities create regulations and taxes. Which does a society need more?

I do think the author is missing an important aspect. The role of foreign actors I do believe Russia and China would support the Brits in fighting back. The current UK government is hopelessly hostile to Russia and China no matter who is PM. So a clean slate would be supported.

swiley's avatar

I don't live in the UK and even with our shared cultural history it's always hard to understand foreign politics but it looks to me like the UK has a sufficiently large counter elite that it might actually not matter what "they" want.

Copernican's avatar

The counter-elite or denied 'elite aspirants' in the UK are going to be pivotal individuals who lead to dramatic national change. I think this might be one reason the AI tech-bro's are racing to the finish. Because if there's a mass-revolt before they're done, they won't get a second chance at creating AI chains to bind the entire world.

Craig's avatar

We have no counter elite currently. Rupert Lowe is starting the ball rolling but, we have nothing that will fix things before the next election.

The Restorationists give me hope.

Oh, I agree — we are seeing things move faster than at any time since we all got into this chaos. The problem is that guys like you, and then me, have been pushing back for well over a decade, and things have gotten way worse.

Boris Wave was an arterial cut to the nation, and we are now openly bleeding out in real time. It has scared everyone, and now everyone is getting the wake-up call. If the Restorationists, Advance, Restore, and the others can gain some headway, this whole system is ready to crack open.

I'm not surprised that Anthony Bourdain would make a comment like that, since his mother was one of the Chosen Ones.

I agree fully with you that they don't want it. I've heard some on the left suggest that 'Tommy' was released from prison earlier this year because the security services have tasked him with causing unrest, which gives me a chuckle. Not to say he isn't being used by someone to do something (almost certainly IMO), but not that.
